Since John Myung loves his ABM-600 amps so much, it only made sense for Ashdown to treat the Dream Theater bassist to his own signature overdrive pedal - enter the Double Drive. Loaded with two overdrive effects, this flexible stompbox offers a rich and deep range of sounds, and even comes equipped with an XLR DI output so it can be directly plugged into a mixing console whenever there's no amp available.

John Myung Double Drive: Awaken the Master

On the left side, you're given access to a traditional tube-style overdrive and a tone pot, while on the right side lies a more brutal bassdrive section. Both effects can be used on their own or stacked to unleash masses of gain. The Double Drive works particularly well in combination with John's own Bongo bass, and the input and output volume of both distortion effects can be individually set and matched with the rest of your rig. Meanwhile, the Ashdown John Myung Double Drive provides two UV meters that tell you exactly just how much bass is going in and out.
